Staffordshire Commissioner Police, Fire and Rescue

Support available during the Coronavirus outbreak

The Staffordshire Commissioner’s Office is reassuring people that the vital services it commissions across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, such as support for victims of crime, are still available during the Coronavirus outbreak.

In line with government advice, those services which previously offered face-to-face or group support can now be accessed online, by Skype or webchat where available, or by telephone, to ensure the health and wellbeing of their staff and the wider community.

Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire and Rescue and Crime, Matthew Ellis, said: ‘These are uncertain times, and can be especially worrying for people who rely on these vital services.

‘I’d like to reassure our communities that help and support is always there for them – these services may have temporarily changed the way they work, but they’re all still available and working on your behalf.

‘I’d also like to thank the services themselves for being so resilient and inventive in the way they continue to provide support for people when they need it most.’
