The Role

Overview
  • Produce detailed reports on findings to support the Commissioner in their oversight and delivery of statutory obligations for Policing and Fire & Rescue services
  • Provide assurance, advice and comment upon governance issues
  • Participate in small working groups to undertake scrutiny and performance review of key issues and the work of Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue

  • Appointments are for a minimum of two years after a successful completion of an initial probation period.
  • An allowance is available for ETAP Members
Required Attendance
  • 10, 2 hour public meetings a year
  • 6 additional Finance Panel or Ethics Group Meetings a year
  • Additional preparatory meetings and training held on average once a month
