People across Staffordshire still have time to have their say on local and national policing issues in surveys created by Matthew Ellis, Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner.
Local people can have their say at www.staffordshire-pcc.gov.uk/have-your-say as part of plans to make Staffordshire the most open and transparent police force in the country.
Results of hundreds of responses so far show that:
90% of residents think it is important to be able to trace people’s activity online to prevent serious organised crime.
56% of residents would prefer to remain completely anonymous online.
59% of residents believe Neighbourhood Watch creates a community feeling.
51% or residents think the police share of council tax should increase, 39% believe it should stay the same and 10% think it should be cut.
Mr Ellis said: “I’m really keen to hear your views on some national and some local issues, such as investment in Neighbourhood Watch, should we spend more or less on policing, on-line fraud and security and then national security.
