Staffordshire businesses have a chance to get cyber savvy and stay one step ahead of online fraudsters at a free event hosted by the OPCC.
Last year, online fraud was estimated to have cost £10 billion pounds and fraudsters are increasingly targeting businesses large and small.
The event on the 29 November features speakers from the cyber security industry, law enforcement and intelligence services and even a reformed hacker.
The conference will attract senior managers from the private, public and charitable sectors all of which are at risk from ever more sophisticated scams.
Sue Arnold, Deputy Police and Crimes Commissioner for Staffordshire chairs an online fraud forum of local businesses and public sector organisations and leads on cyber crime for the OPCC.
Speaking about the event, Sue Arnold said:
“It’s all too easy to fall foul of online fraud, and the consequences can be devastating. We all have to become smarter if we’re going to reduce the impact of this kind of crime.”
