Staffordshire Commissioner Matthew Ellis will hold the latest Public Performance Meeting on Monday 23 November, where he will hold Staffordshire Police to account on behalf of the public.
The meeting, which will be broadcast live online from 10am, will take place virtually instead of face to face as a result of the pandemic, but the focus on openness and transparency will remain the same.
Topics covered at the meeting will include:
- An overview of Staffordshire Police’s strategic performance
- An update on how the police service is responding to the challenges of Covid-19
- Public confidence during the pandemic, and the impact on crime and anti-social behaviour
- Modern policing, including recruitment and retention updates
- Any questions from members of the public
Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire and Rescue and Crime, Matthew Ellis said: ‘It’s more important than ever in these challenging times that our communities are able to keep up to date on key issues, so they can have confidence in the way policing is delivered here.
‘The pandemic has meant we need to do these meetings differently, but our focus is still on being open, honest and transparent. Watching these meetings online allows people to see for themselves the challenges our police face in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.’
