PCC Matthew Ellis

Police and Crime Commissioner in Stoke North

Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis will be hearing about the issues that matter to people in Stoke North on Let's Talk posterFriday 4 July.

Mr Ellis will hold ‘Let’s Talk’ supermarket surgeries at Asda on Scotia Road in Tunstall between 12noon and 1pm and then outside Home Bargains on Alexandra Retail Park, Tunstall from 1.15pm to 2.15pm.

He will then hold an open meeting at The Co-operative Academy on Westport Road, Tunstall between 6pm and 7pm.

The events are the latest opportunity for people to tell Mr Ellis first-hand about crime and local policing and their experience of the criminal justice system. People are invited to come along to discuss any concerns they have about crime, policing and community safety with Mr Ellis – no appointment is needed.

Mr Ellis said: “This is a great opportunity to find out what people in Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas have to say. I want to hear what people’s experiences are of policing and the criminal justice system.

“How could things be done better to make sure the system fits the needs of people rather than people having to fit the system?Public meeting poster

“These events give local people a chance to shape the future of policing and the criminal justice services for us all.”

This will be the second round of ‘Let’s Talk’ events held by Mr Ellis this week, following Monday’s visits in Newcastle borough. For more details on ‘Let’s Talk’ visit http://www.staffordshire-pcc.gov.uk/lets-talk/
