PCC Matthew Ellis with Acton Trussell WI

PCC updates Acton Trussell Women’s Institute

Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis recently spoke to Acton Trussell Women’s Institute (WI) about local policing.

Mr Ellis talked with members of the WI at their meeting in Acton Trussell about the work he has done to address reoffending, joining up services and the ongoing roll-out of mobile technology devices which will help to free up 250,000 hours of visible, front-line policing a year. He then answered questions from WI members.

Mr Ellis said: “I would like to thank Acton Trusell WI for such a warm welcome and for inviting me to be their guest speaker. They were a wonderfully receptive audience and I thank them for their hospitality.”

Val McAleenan, president of Acton Trussell WI, said: “We would like to thank the Police and Crime Commissioner for coming to talk to us. We were all very interested to learn of what Matthew’s role entails, how he continually interacts with the community and of his future plans for Staffordshire Police.”
