PCC speaks at Cannock parish forum

Matthew Ellis, Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, spoke to councillors from Cannock at a Parish and Town Council forum today (Wednesday).

The Commissioner discussed the progress made in the first two years of his role along with the challenges and opportunities facing policing and the criminal justice system across Staffordshire.

He said: “It was a great opportunity to speak to councillors in the Cannock area. I thoroughly enjoyed the interesting questions and discussions we had.

“Over the last two years what we have been doing is setting down the foundations for real change.

“As we look to make significant savings by doing things differently, my goals going forward are to maintain neighbourhood police officer numbers and free up thousands of hours of police time through vast improvements in technology.”
