Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis has today launched a new mobile-friendly website for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC).
The mobile-friendly website, which can be viewed at http://www.staffordshire-pcc.gov.uk, allows the public to read and comment on the latest updates from the PCC, including 21 second lowdown videos, and read about the new Safer, Fairer, United Communities strategy.
Visitors can also use the website to ask the Commissioner questions direct via an ‘Ask Matthew’ section.
The website, which has been designed and developed in-house, has saved thousands of pounds of public money in development and hosting costs compared to the old site which was inherited from the Police Authority.
Mr Ellis said: “The new mobile-friendly website demonstrates that we are finding new ways to do things better in Staffordshire, spending less and achieving more. It provides yet another avenue to share important information, and offers a simple and cost effective way for the public to engage with us.”
People are urged to visit the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s website at http://www.staffordshire-pcc.gov.uk.
