Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Matthew Ellis will be hitting the internet later this month to speak to local residents about policing across the county.
‘Let’s Talk Online’ is the continuation of a series of open public engagement meetings where people can join in a web chat with the Commissioner. The live virtual event will give the public an opportunity to ask questions and receive immediate answers.
Residents can also book a ten-minute slot with Mr Ellis to have a video call via Skype.
Skype offers residents the opportunity to speak face-to-face and privately with the Commissioner without having to come to one of the Let’s Talk sessions that are held across Staffordshire.
Mr Ellis said: “I want people from across Staffordshire to get involved and ask questions, either through the online chat or over Skype. This is a great opportunity to be open and accessible and for people to tell me what their experiences are of policing and the criminal justice system. My ambition is for Staffordshire to be the most transparent, and technologically advanced, force in the country.”
This month’s ‘Let’s Talk’ opportunity takes place on Monday 25 November 6pm until 7pm at http://www.staffordshire-pcc.gov.uk/online-chat/ and does not require prior booking.
Ten-minute long Skype chats for between 7pm and 8pm can be booked with the Commissioner by calling 01785 232270 or by sending an email via the website at http://www.staffordshire-pcc.gov.uk/contact/. A broadband internet connection, a device with a webcam (tablet, PC or laptop for example) and Skype account are required.
