Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis will be hearing about the issues that matter to Cannock people next week.
‘Let’s Talk – Coming To You’ will be at The Premier Suite in High Green, Cannock town centre, WS11 1BJ from 6pm to 7pm on Tuesday 12 November.
It’s the latest public meeting where people can tell Mr Ellis first-hand about crime and local policing and their experience of the criminal justice system.
They will also be able to talk to the Commissioner earlier on Tuesday when he holds a supermarket surgery at Morrisons in Mill Street, Cannock, from 1pm to 2pm.
Mr Ellis said: “This is a great opportunity to find out what people in Cannock have to say. I want to hear what people’s experiences are of policing and the criminal justice system.
“It’s not NHS, local authority, CPS or police money….it’s all public money. We must scrap silo thinking, work to common goals – spend better, achieve more.
“How could things be done better to make sure the system fits the needs of people rather than people having to fit the system?
“This will be the second supermarket surgery I’ve held in Cannock recent months. These events are proving really successful at getting direct feedback from people about what we’re already doing, as well as finding out about what could still be done better.
“Next Tuesday is an opportunity for people in Cannock to shape the future of policing and the criminal justice services for us all.”
