PCC updates Women’s Institute on progress

Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Ellis spoke at an event organised by Meerbrook Women’s Institute (WI) about progress made to improve local policing.

Mr Ellis talked with members of Meerbrook WI and some of the public about his role and the work he is doing across the county. Members of the audience were then invited to ask questions of the Commissioner.

Mr Ellis said: “I would like to thank Meerbrook WI for such a warm welcome and for inviting me to be their guest speaker.

“They were a receptive audience who asked some interesting questions.”

Vera Bellfield, President of Meerbrook WI, said: “The evening went well and was very informative, Mr Ellis was very interesting and well received by members of the audience”

“It has given us all an interesting insight into the work of the Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner – what’s going on, what’s happening and what is being achieved.”
