Matthew Ellis, Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, spoke to members of the public about the issues that mattered to them in Staffordshire Moorlands yesterday, 5 February.

He held a supermarket surgery at Waitrose in Portland Street, Leek. Mr Ellis then held a public meeting where he spoke to councillors and members of the public at Staffordshire Moorlands District Council from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
The ‘Let’s Talk’ events were the latest opportunity for people to tell Mr Ellis first-hand about crime and local policing and their experience of the criminal justice system.
Earlier in the day the Commissioner attended a partnership meeting as well as speaking to pupils at the Roaches school.
Mr Ellis said: “This was a great opportunity to find out what people in Staffordshire Moorlands had to say.
“I had a number of local people come and discuss issues with me. These events give people a chance to shape the future of policing and the criminal justice services for us all.
“I had an enjoyable day in the Moorlands speaking to members of the public as well as young children at the Roaches school getting their views on policing.”
