Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis spoke to Brocton Women’s Institute (WI) about local policing last Wednesday (14 October).
Mr Ellis talked with members of the WI about the work he has done to address reoffending, joining up services and the ongoing roll-out of mobile technology devices which will help to free up 250,000 hours of visible, front-line policing a year. He then answered questions from members which included queries about the old HQ site and what is being done for young people in the area.
Mr Ellis said: “I would like to thank Brocton WI for such a warm welcome and for inviting me to be their guest speaker.
“It was a great turn out full of wonderfully receptive ladies and I thank them for their hospitality.”
Kathryn Mann, president of Brocton WI, said: “Thank you to the Police and Crime Commissioner for coming to speak with members of Brocton WI.
“We all enjoyed learning more about policing and we look forward to seeing the changes he has mentioned put in place across Stafford.”
