The Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Ellis attended a Womens Institute (WI) meeting in South Staffordshire on Tuesday, 17 February.

Mr Ellis spoke to over 30 women at Bishops Wood WI about his role, and the work he has been doing, and answered questions from members.

Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Ellis said: “I would like to thank Bishops Wood WI for inviting me to be their guest speaker.

“It was great to meet so many ladies and listen to their views of policing in Bishops Wood and the surrounding areas.”

Irene Cox, Speakers Secretary, said: “Members of Bishops wood Women’s Institute and their guests enjoyed a talk from Matthew Ellis.

“We were impressed by his frankness about a whole range of topics, and his willingness to talk about the good things and the not so good things. Mr Ellis answered a number of interesting questions, particularly about rural issues, and then joined the members for the WI’s traditional tea and cakes.”
