
Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Ellis, spoke about the technology revolution taking place in Staffordshire at a Stafford Historical and Civic Society meeting on Thursday, 30 April.
Mr Ellis spoke to 17 members about the work he has been doing since he took on the role, including the roll out of mobile devices to officers to get them out of stations and into communities. He then answered questions from members at the event in Stafford.

The Commissioner said: “I would like to thank Stafford Historical and Civic Society for inviting me along to their meeting. I had such a warm welcome and had an excellent question and answer session.”
Vera Wilkinson, Chairman of Stafford Historical and Civic Society, said: “Mr Ellis was most informative and gave a very though provoking talk. It has been great to hear about all his achievements over the last two years.”
William Read, Honorary Secretary of Stafford Historical and Civic Society, said: “We really looked forward to hearing what Mr Ellis had achieved over the two years and loved hearing about his achievements and what he thinks he can do over the next 18 months.”
