People will be able to get the latest on policing and justice when Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis returns to Speakers’ Corner in Lichfield this weekend.

Mr Ellis will be at the city centre venue in Dam Street at 12pm on Saturday (28 June). It’s the third time he has spoken there since he started his role in late 2012.
After Mr Ellis has updated people about on-going work to free-up more visible policing and join-up services, there will be a question-and-answer session where Mr Ellis will directly answer concerns.
Speakers’ Corner was launched in the city centre in 2009 and holds regular events giving guests and members of the public the chance to speak about topics close to their hearts.
Mr Ellis said: “I’m really looking forward to returning to Lichfield and talking about our on-going work to make sure services work better for local people, after torrential rain caused me to cancel the last event a few weeks ago.
“It’s a great opportunity for members of the public not only to find out what’s happening with policing in Staffordshire, but to also talk about what matters to them.
“I urge anyone with concerns about policing in their area to come along this weekend and talk to me.”
Saturday’s visit comes after Mr Ellis spent the day in Lichfield last month, meeting members of the public. Find more at www.staffordshire-pcc.gov.uk/2014/05/lets-talk-success-lichfield-people/
