Mr Ellis was invited to meet with Operations and Development Director Mark Kerrigan, Security Manager Norman Murray and Sgt Glyn Parker to learn more about how Staffordshire Moorlands Local Policing Team work with staff at the Resort to ensure incidents are dealt with effectively.

Mr Ellis said: “This meeting proved to be very useful. The Alton Towers Resort brings a significant amount of business to the area and I was keen to learn more about the relationship between local policing and the Resort and how they work together. I was pleased to see some great partnership working resulting in minimal crime in the area.”

“It’s great to know that our local PCC is so supportive of the way that we work with our local officers,” added Mr Kerrigan, “as we find that having such a close relationship is very beneficial for us all.”

Mr Ellis also spent time in Cheadle hosting a ‘Let’s Talk’ session at Asda where he spoke with shoppers about local issues.
