People in Cheadle will be able to tell Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis about the issues that matter to
them next week.
Mr Ellis is holding a ‘Let’s Talk’ event at Asda in Ashbourne Road between 1.15pm and 2.45pm on Wednesday 30 April.
The supermarket surgery is the latest opportunity for people to tell Mr Ellis first-hand about crime and local policing and their experience of the criminal justice system. It follows similar surgeries at supermarkets in Biddulph and Leek in March.
People are invited to come along to discuss any concerns they have about crime, policing and community safety with Mr Ellis – no appointment is needed.
Mr Ellis said: “This is a great opportunity to find out what people in Cheadle have to say. I want to hear what people’s experiences are of policing and the criminal justice system.
“It’s not NHS, local authority, CPS or police money….it’s all public money. We must scrap silo thinking, work to common goals – spend better, achieve more.
“How could things be done better to make sure the system fits the needs of people rather than people having to fit the system?
“These events give local people a chance to shape the future of policing and the criminal justice services for us all.”
