Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis will be speaking to people at supermarkets in Stone this weekend.
The ‘Let’s Talk’ events will be held on Saturday 15 February at Morrisons in Mill Street from 11am to noon and then in Co-op in High Street from 12.15pm to 1.15pm.
People are invited to come along to discuss any concerns they have about crime, policing and community safety with Mr Ellis – no appointment is needed.
He said: “These supermarket events have proved really popular with people across Staffordshire. It’s a great opportunity to find out what people in Stone have to say on Saturday. I want to hear what people’s experiences are of policing and the criminal justice system.
“It’s not NHS, local authority, CPS or police money….it’s all public money. We must scrap silo thinking, work to common goals – spend better, achieve more.
“How could things be done better to make sure the system fits the needs of people rather than people having to fit the system?”
The surgeries follow successful ‘Let’s Talk’ supermarket events in places including Stafford, Rugeley, Burton, Cannock and Stoke-on-Trent in recent months.
