Staffordshire Commissioner urges young people to sign up for Prince’s Trust

Young people in Staffordshire who are struggling for direction are being urged to sign up for one of the life-changing programmes run by the Prince’s Trust in partnership with the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The call comes from the Staffordshire Police, Fire and Rescue and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis, who witnessed first-hand the impact that Prince’s Trust courses can have at two recent celebration events in Cannock and Stafford.

The Trust runs regular programmes in the county to help 16-25 year-olds who are unemployed or working for a maximum of 16 hours per week.

Matthew Ellis said:

“Life can be a struggle and young people can sometimes need a helping hand if they do not have a clear path in front of them. The Prince’s Trust provides fantastic free courses which build confidence, skills and offer a sense of purpose.

“In recent weeks I have seen the incredible, often highly emotional, positive impact the Prince’s Trust scheme run in conjunction with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue has had on the lives of dozens of young people across the county.

“I strongly urge anyone who feels they – or someone they know – might benefit from the help of the Prince’s Trust to get in touch today. It could change your life.”
