Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis will be speaking to people at supermarkets in Stafford next week.
The ‘Let’s Talk’ events will be on Friday 6 September at Asda in Queensway from 12noon to 1pm and at Tesco in Newport Road from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
People are invited to discuss any concerns they have about crime, policing and their community with the Commissioner.
Mr Ellis said: “This is a great opportunity to find out what people in Stafford have to say. I want to hear what people’s experiences are of policing and the criminal justice system.
“It’s not NHS, local authority, CPS or police money….it’s all public money. We must scrap silo thinking, work to common goals – spend better, achieve more.
“How could things be done better to make sure the system fits the needs of people rather than people having to fit the system?”
People can book one-to-one meetings in advance at http://www.staffordshire-pcc.gov.uk/lets-talk/ or just turn up at the supermarkets on the day.
The surgeries follow successful recent ‘Let’s Talk Saturday’ events throughout the county and city of Stoke-on-Trent.
