Organisations across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, which provide domestic abuse or sexual violence support, are being invited to bid for additional funding provided by Staffordshire Commissioner Ben Adams.
The additional funding of over £19m to be shared nationally is to help charities or organisations who deliver community based and other support services to help meet the extra costs they may have incurred due to the pandemic and current global pressures on the cost of living. It will also help them meet the impact of increased demand as a result.
Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire & Rescue and Crime, Ben Adams said: ‘The current situation has brought many extra challenges and pressures for lots of organisations, so this additional funding will be crucial to so many services that have been forced to adapt very quickly.
‘It is hugely important services providing support to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence can continue their work during this difficult time as they deal with the challenges associated with increased demand.’
This bidding process for the additional funding is open until 2 May for services which are currently commissioned by the Staffordshire Commissioner’s Office, as well as those that aren’t.
Organisations should return their completed funding form to nicky.jolley@staffordshire-pfcc.gov.uk by 5pm on 2 May 2022.
