About This Role

Overview

  • Provide independent support to detainees who may be vulnerable
  • Assist the detainee to ensure they understand what is happening during the police interview and investigative stages
  • Ensure the Police comply with PACE legislation in respect of the detainee
  • Aid communication between the detainee, the Police and others as required (potentially this could also be with the detainee’s solicitor)

Requirements

  • Required Attendance 6 – 8 visits per year, which last for approximately 1-2 hours
  • Additional quarterly team review meetings and training
